My well loved CM4000s coffee maker just coughed up a small, black plastic cap from the reservoir area. It was sitting on top of the 12 cup ledge inside the reservoir. It is about 3/16" deep and about 3/16" dia. I've no idea where it came from and I have made a pot of coffee since finding the thing. Can you tell me what it is and where and if I should relocate it?
