When I turn on my Black and Decker toaster/convect...

When I turn on my Black and Decker toaster/convection oven it stays on broiler no matter what temperature I press. I know it stays on oven and broiler when it is first starting up until it reaches a certain temperature, but it does not go off broil - how can I re set my temperatures to cook a normal item with out broil? Joan
