Question About Bosch Appliances Cooktop DHG601DUC

We want to purchase the 30" 5 burner gas cooktop Bosch 800 Series NGM8054UC 5 burner gas cooktop . We currently have a downdraft system that vents out the slab. Do we need to purchase the above described blower with the Bosch DHD3014UC Retractable Downdraft, for our current downdraft system? House was built in 1998.
