Question About Bosch Appliances Dishwasher None

My dishwasher has just stopped working. The lights ont the control panel are lit, the machine is not blocked but the timer has a '*' above the digits. When I put it on it opens the dishwasher liquid opener but no water comes out. THere is some water in the bottom from a previous wash but there appears to be no blockage
