When I start my Bosch SHE4AM12UC/01 dishwasher it goes straight to clean after about 15-20 seconds, and if I try it again it only takes a couple of seconds. We replaced the control board on the door, but it acts the same. I read online that a different model Bosch seemed to be having the same trouble and they were told that it most likely is the control board under the tub. I don't know if our model even has a control board there. Help!

5 Yes, there is another board (main power board) right side of machine under tub, you have to pull machine out to get to it. However, more than likely is NOT your problem. Just went through same experience with my dishwasher--same model as yours. The problem is the NTC sensors (has 2) and it is the one that controls the heater which is encapsulated in wash motor can't buy it separate-have to replace motor.

5 Check of this is a few seconds after,you hit the start button, open the door-you will hear sucking sound (drain pump running) hold the start button in and close door. If machine fills and wash pump starts(may have to do this 2-3 times) self diagnostics are by-passed and Motor/Heater NTC is bad. Replacement cost of motor expensive-Bosch is junk! Get a GE/Hotpoint with the old style timer-still available to builders.

5 Cost of these machines is about $300 from GE/Hotpoint dealer. 2 models available--better one has upper wash arm and more cycles. Lowes has the one model, but only the bottom line one with only 1 wash arm--don't carry the top line model. Stay away from any electronic models--all of the manufacturer's have gone to them. I have an old style Maytag which had this type of timer in my other house, twenty years old and still running just fine!
