I inherited a Braun type 4259 food processor from ...

I inherited a Braun type 4259 food processor from my mom-in-law. The discs will not fit over the spindle - the discs have a round hole and the spindle is six-sided. so I guess we are missing a part? we could use some help as we anticipate using this for canning season
