my coffee maker grinds the coffee and then the com...

my coffee maker grinds the coffee and then the computer on the coffeemaker shows that it is brewing but the water does not heat up and come down into the carafe. When brewing sign shows that coffee is brewed, I do not have any coffee in my carafe, so no coffee, even though I have grounded coffee in the chamber. What do I do.
