would like to know how to safely remove the glass ...

would like to know how to safely remove the glass panel behind the controls so that we can clean behind the controls under the glass. A lot of grime has gathered behind the glass panel and it is impossible to clean.Would we need a technician to do this or is this info included in a manual?
