Our grind & brew wakes us up rotating and clicking...

Our grind & brew wakes us up rotating and clicking loudly rather than start brewing. It just keeps rotating the lid to the basket, clicks loudly then spins around again over and over very loudly. Any idea what is causing this and what to do?
