Freezer compartment stopped working...

Sounds like the motor for the freezer has stopped working. What's the best way to identify the problem?

0 I thought mine had stopped working too but appears to be corrosion in the pipe round the back somewhere. Best way to check fan is triggered by door switch, manually depressing while door open. mine works but no longer seals door tight. Anyone else?
