Question About Danby Dishwasher DDW396W
Leaky Pump...

Just bought it for 95 bucks, They said they were selling it cause they were moving. Anyway, got it home and it leaks. The pump is leaking around the seal at the top that is around the drive shaft of the motor. I can't get the impeller off to look at the seal. How do I do it without breaking it? ddw396w

0 i have the same problem. the impeller screws off clockwise and screws on counter clockwise. on mine the the seal is made of a couple ceramic washers/fittings and a plastic spring loaded cover. something in the seal rusted away - there is rust on the shaft and rust grit in the seal fittings. i'm trying to repair it as danby no longer has replacement parts for this model. ddw396w
