what does an e1 error on my dishwasher mean? when ...

what does an e1 error on my dishwasher mean? when i start the dishwasher after about 5 minutes it beeps and shows e1. the first time this happened the dishwasher was running with water in hte dishwasher, but it stopped when my washing machine started running. now the dishwasher will not start at all. it beeps and shows e1 about five minutes after i press the cycle button.

0 I get an e1 message and the water does not drain
