Question About Danby Refrigerator DFF8200W
Broken Dial...

Model Code 3526 Model # B28BLCSWCM Model Name: DFF8200W Back of fridge bottom r.h. corner is a white bos with electrical cord going into it. The dial has broken off. We need replacement part-fridge will shut off at times. What is this dial for, can we replace it, or fix it somehow?

3 I have the exact same problem with my fridge, model DFF8200W. My knob is broken off (not sure when that happened) and it just started turning off from time to time. Sometimes for days at a time. I turned the dial with some needle nose pliars and I got the fridge to come back on. When I turn the dial, sometimes just a fan comes on inside the fridge, but if you keep turning it, the fridge will turn on eventually. I'm going to let it run empty for a few days to see if keeps working. I would love to know what the dial is for or how to fix it.
