Hi my Defy DFF336 F640 is making a rythmic humming...

Hi my Defy DFF336 F640 is making a rythmic humming noise. it influences the bulbs in the house to the same rythm. An appliance repairer came to check the fridge saying that the PC board and some sencors are problematic. Please reply - deongrobler1@gmail.com they apparently need to be replaced but the quote is a third of the fridge's price - does this sound legit?
