I have Model DM2652LBFX, and the temp control is a slide doohickey which attaches a wire from the motor by an "S" shaped plastic holder to the cooling fin. Move it up for "colder" and down the fin for "warmer" . While loading food, the plastic holder fell off, and I am not sure exactly how to reattach it to the fin, or whether it is in the right place. Don't really understand how this temperature control is supposed to work.
