Question About Durabrand Coffeemaker pil-HC0801

I purchased a coffeemaker to use as a spare so I have an extra for emergencies. Well, last week I needed it when I plugged it in water gushed out from the bottom of the coffeemaker?? Brand new never used not happy:(
