Question About Kelvinator Oven B6620

the clock time adjusting lever also functions to set cooking time. It seems the function for setting cooking time has become faulty, preventing oven from working. I need to bypass / bridge this as I do not require this function. It will not be a problem if bypassing / bridging prevents clock from working.
