my econ light keeps flashing. we erroneously used ...

my econ light keeps flashing. we erroneously used dish washing liquid as an emergency measure when we had visitors. opening the DW door showed a lot of foam. we have cleaned the foam, put the switch off and on but ECON keeps flashing. pressing the program or clear buttons does not good. Help please.
