After baking in oven and subsequently turning oven off, the oven remains hot as though it were still turned on for an unnatural period of time. I think there is a problem with the thermostat? Please help me?

5 It could be the heating element in the oven that is starting to go. Usually once it's warm/hot it will still draw on the electrical currant and make it stay warm/hot for a longer period of time. When you shit it off unplug it and see it it cools faster that way and if so it's the heating element inside the oven that needs to be replaced. It's about 45.00 to 50.00 to replace and easy to install yourself.
