My wife initiated the cleaning feature of her Electrolux oven without removing the rack supports. Despite the manual saying the oven will not clean when with supports in, the oven started. Metal from the supports melted onto the bottom. Might I get Electrolux to take some responsibility for? (The oven is 4 years old, but should not have started. Also, a part that can be melted seems like an unsafe design.) Can I replace the racks? How do I remove the metal safely and without damage?

0 Hi chadcox, I appreciate your post! I understand that you have had difficulty with your Electrolux oven starting the self-clean cycle without removing all the racks. I have included a parts manual which will provide a breakdown of all parts that are available within your oven. If your oven is four years old I am unsure if any assistance can be offered. You may want to contact your manufacturer for any additional help. Best of luck! –OOS
