Question About Emerson Garbage Disposal E20-27
disposal not working...

When I turn on the switch, I heard a humming sound from disposal, but the disposal was not working. I turn on the switch again today, there was no humming sound, and the disposal was not working.

5 I had the same problem, at first I thought there was something stuck in it but found it was siezed with rust (it had not been used for some time). Gave it a bit of a clean up and got it working again. If there is no noise at all, youll find that the over load has tripped, little red button at the motor end of the unit.
