our emerson e90 garbage disposal has stopped working and we don't know what to do to fix it.

0 I also had this problem and was looking for the manual. I found the manual for their current disposer, not the E90, but that was useful ( http://www.insinkerator.com/en-us/Documents/Disposer/US_ICU1.pdf ). On p.10, it says how to release disposer jam. There is a hole in the center under the disposer which permits to turn the motor manually (with a wrench). I used a 1/4" hex wrench in the hole and had to apply some force to unjam it. After doing several turns in both directions, I pressed the reset button (red button close to that hole), and the disposer is now working again.
