bought new Emerson microwave and entered correct t...

bought new Emerson microwave and entered correct time when plugged in/prompted. Put in cup of soup, pushed express button 2 and the light flashed and went out, not to come back on , what on earth,........?? No response at all and it's a brand new appliance! It is 900W Microvwave model # MW9339SB. what can a i do to get it going??
