5 Unplug blender, and lift the glass blender jar by handle off power base. Remove the black jar base by turning counterclockwise. If necessary, run or soak in hot water to help loosen. The parts are washable by hand or in the dishwasher (not the power base). The glass jar may go on bottom of dishwasher but other washable parts should go on top.
