For some time the dishwasher has beeped while not ...

For some time the dishwasher has beeped while not in use and F3 has shown on the screen. We have turned it off at the wall, then turned it on when we have needed to use it, and it has washed satisfactorily, but this time, it stopped part way throught he cycle and beeped and showed F3. Can we fix it?
