My daughter out dishwashing detergent into the pow...

My daughter out dishwashing detergent into the powder dispenser it foamed and went into error mode. Can we correct this ourselves or do we have to call a technician? Have flushed numerous buckets of water through no foam currently evident. Have turned off at the wall and tried to reset. Thank you Looking forward to your response Jacqui Snell
