My Fisher & Patkel Sift Touch dishwasher seems to ...

My Fisher & Patkel Sift Touch dishwasher seems to be working fine. It rinses ok. But when it come to washing, the cycle never finishes, and it can go for hours. When I open it, the water is cold. I tried to connect it to hot water. No change.
