our freezer section is making a lot of noise and i...

our freezer section is making a lot of noise and i am wondering if it is not cold enough. How many bars need to be lit up to have the correct temperature showing on the freezer control panel? There were 3 lit, I have reduced the bars to 2 and will see what it is like overnight.
