Generally, qualified technicians often perform these complicated part replacements since rewiring a switch on a range truly requires the experienced hands of a certified technician. If your Frigidaire cooktop (FEC30S6) is still in warranty, you may want to check with the manufacturer to determine if there are any professionals in your area who will not only be able to ensure this is the appropriate fix, but may actually save you some cost if it is something simpler to repair.
