I have what may be an odd question. In my apartment I have a Frigidare dishwasher model FDB125RHB0. I wanted to ask if it is normal for the heating element in the bottom of my dishwasher to come on during the rinse and hold option. I use rinse and hold very seldom. The last couple to times I used it it seemed that either the arms were not rotating and spraying or just the bottom arms were spraying. I could also hear the water hissing when it hit the heating element. I started rinse and hold without first running the water until was hot in the kitchen sink first. I'v never had to run the water till hot first with the full wash cycles. Is this simply the dishwasher heating the incoming cold water before doing a rinse and hold? Or does my dishwasher need to be serviced? The other cycles of the dishwasher seem to work fine. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
