my frigidaire dishwasher is smoking (and a bad bur...

my frigidaire dishwasher is smoking (and a bad burning smell is coming out of it even when it isnt running). we turned off the fuse for it to prevent a possible fire. Any ideas what is going on with it? if i need to replace it can you tell me what the dimensions are on it? It is a 900 series that we purchased in the fall of 2003
