hello, what temperature setting is recommended for this freezer, it is bulding ice around the door and not defrosting, l am scraping the ice off daily. I also do not have a manual. l purchased the freezer on 9/12/2013

0 Good Morning chefmaddog1, thank you for your post! I understand that there is an ice build-up on the inside of your Frigidaire freezer and you are removing it daily. Based off the information you have provided it appears you could have a faulty gasket or defrost timer. You can check your gasket using a dollar bill, place the dollar between the freezer and the door. If it pulls out with little or no resistance then the gasket needs to be changed. If the gasket is not faulty then the defrost timer could be the possible problem. I would recommend having a professional technician come out and provide an accurate diagnosis.
