0 Hi ebankslaw, thanks for your post! Typically inside of the newer freezers they have a modern high-efficiency compressor and they operate much faster than older models. The compressor may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. This is a normal operation noise and would occur upon the running of your compressor. I hope this has been helpful. –OOS
