i have an upright frigidaire freezer. it is about five years old. we had a power outage that lasted maybe three hours. when the power came back on the lights were blinking and flashing. we have unplugged it and plugged it back on. it is not running properly and will not stay on the setting we put it on.

0 Good Afternoon scarnes, thank you for your post! To better determine the issue your freezer is experiencing, can you tell me which lights are flashing please? What does the display of your freezer show? Also, may I have your model number please? You can normally locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) inside the cabinet, on the left side wall. However, from what you have described it sounds like your freezer may possibly be in the OFF position or lock which may occur after a power outage. In the meantime, let’s attempt resetting your freezer by pressing and releasing the “UP” arrow three times within three seconds or the “DOWN” arrow three times within three seconds. If an LC appears, then your control is locked. Then repress and hold the control lock key and try the procedure above. Hope this helps and I look forward to your response! – Chris
