how do I open the range top to access to control knob and associated wiring to troubleshoot the left front heating element that no longer heats....

serial # 71C52654 Harvest Gold drop in electric range/oven. Original installation in home circa 1970's. Seeking specifications, manual, trouble-shooting guide. How to open/lift range-top to access control-knob and associated wiring to isolate problem of non-heating left front heating element. Thank YOU!
