0 Hello yoohoo_ornurse, that’s a great question! I show that for your Frigidaire range (FGES3065KF) it is recommended to use an optional heavy duty canning element to prevent damage to the cooktop surface. The element is constructed with a heavy duty frame to better support the added weight of large cookware such as canners and also provides more air flow beneath the element to avoid overheating the cook-top surface.
