0 Hello gstphilly – Thank you for your question! Yes, this particular unit does contain a water filter. Most side-by-side filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9 months depending on your water usage and frequency. The refrigerator needs a Pure Source 2 water filter, part number WF2CB. Most parts and/or accessories can be purchased directly from the manufacturer. Hope this helps!
