my freezer will not freeze like it should. we change the temp control like we should, but the food won' t freeze. the ice freezes, ut not food. the refrigerator side is great. thank you, Virginia andreano

0 Hello ladybug64, thank you for your post! I see that the freezer section of your Frigidaire refrigerator (FRS26R2AQ8) is not cooling properly. Do you hear the compressor running? If the compressor is running, humming, or even a little warm that is typically normal. However, if you do not hear the compressor at all, you may manually activate the defrost cycle on your freezer. Normally you can do this by flicking the light switch a minimum of (5) times within six (6) seconds. This will either begin or end the defrost cycle depending which you are in. If manually defrosting your freezer does not correct the issue, then your refrigerator could have floating restriction in the line, faulty defrost control or something more complicated like an issue with the sealed system that only a professional can repair.
