0 Hi f603 - Thank you for your question! Generally speaking it is recommended that the temperature knob is set in the middle for both the refrigerator and freezer compartment for top mount refrigerators. The temperature can be adjusted by moving the knob in small increments, allowing the temperature to stabilize. If you desire a colder temperature, then turn the knob towards COLDER, or for warmer temperature, turn the knob towards COLD. Turning the refrigerator control will change temperatures in both compartments. For example, if the refrigerator control is turned to a colder setting, the freezer control may have to be adjusted to a warmer setting. Turning the freezer control will only change the freezer temperature. Hope this proves to be helpful!
