What happens when the frig needs to be defrosted every week because it gets such a build up of ice?

0 Hello tcee, thanks for the post! Based off the information you have provided it sounds as if there could be an air leak inside your Frigidaire refrigerator and that could be the reason why you are receiving a buildup of ice. I would recommend checking the gasket and you can use a dollar bill to check it. Place the bill between the body of the freezer and close the door. Pull the dollar out, if it sticks the seal is good, but if the bill comes out easily the gasket needs to be changed. Hopefully that helps –Chris
