Oven pilot issue...

The pilot on the standard oven of my m45-45rc oven will not stay lit on its own. I have replaced the thermocouple and have tried a few but to no avail. I have pulled the plunger that the thermocouple attaches to on the gas control but am unsure how to test this. Does it pull in when heat is applied or what?
