Old GE D1BL3 blender wonderful for many years. Making sound is the hole in bottom for oil? Put some oil on base around round spinner sound a bit better. But I believe if I add oil as part of maintence it would not happen again. This good old blender is a wonderful tool in my kitchen. Thx, Heidi
