water not draining...

water is not draining from my dishwasher and also water shoots out of the vent on top of the sink

0 Had same problem upon initial install of my GE dishwasher, besides running line from dishwasher to vent you need to install a T in you drain line and run one line to your vent and the other to inlet of your garbage disposal.
