GE model #168997 is discontinued. I am looking for...

GE model #168997 is discontinued. I am looking for repair parts and info on troubleshooting problem. Is it element or thermocouple? Problem started when I used with an extension cord to use outside. Worked fine up to that point, then it will not heat.
