Cleaning Light Flashes...

I can't get the cleaning light to stop flashing. I followed the directions in the manual (1. latch the door, 2. Turn the oven temperature knob to Clean) and the over won't self-clean. The light continues to flash and never go into mode. Oven was cold when I started. Help?

0 So, I got the oven to begin the self-cleaning process. It was on for about a half hour then the error came up on the display: F2. I didn't touch the oven during the cleaning so the handle wasn't moved. I tried again this morning and it only took about 10 minutes to get the error. Still awaiting help. Thanks.
