Damaged Glass Top...

A pot containing a soy-honey sauce boild over and burned onto thee glass cooking surface. After the cook top cooled I removed the burned on material but the glass top is pitted overr some areeas of the heating area. Is it safe to continue using the element with the pit marks? HARRY McBRIDE
