Question About GE Range -3001
I am replacing a three prong cord with a four pron...

I am replacing a three prong cord with a four prong. The sheet that came with the range says to cut the ground strap. Since I can see it is screwed into the white wire connection above can I just remove it altogether or is cutting recommended for another reason?
