Question About GE Range Spectra

I have a GE spectra Range and I was cooking a 10lb turkey yesterday and the directions advised 3-312 hours. After 4/12 hours it was still not done. I baked it at 325 degrees and I noticed that the heating element would light up and then it was not heating at all. The range is about 13 years old. Any advise on this? Thank you.
