My oven displays a "door" message and does not turn on.

0 We have the same problem. We had the electronic oven control box replaced (the oven was 5 years old at the time) for just over $400.00. Four years later, the oven was doing the same thing! Instead of throwing good money after bad, we replaced the oven. We mailed a letter to GE, but NO responce.

0 seems to be a common problem - once the entire stove has cooled the oven will register a temp setting. Once the surface burners are used the oven quits and "door" is displayed. Really frustrating at this time of year when allot of baking is require for the holidays. Likely be the last GE product we'll buy. LG has a better warranty and reliable service. GE won't provide any help at all unless you have extended warranty.
