Question About GE Range JBP26GP
wires cut to a nub...

My daughter gave me her GE JBP26G electric range but the electrician cut the wire thinking it was to be thrown out. The wire is now too short to connect or junction. Can I open up the back panel and start over by connecting inside the back panel with new wire? Thank you!
